The May 15, 2017 deadline for submitting forms to present papers at the Graduate Student Session in Philadelphia in January 2018 at the Allied Social Sciences Association meeting has been extended until June 1.
In January 2018, Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) will sponsor a graduate-student session at the annual meeting of the Allied Social Science Association in Philadelphia. This session, which is sponsored jointly by ODE and the AEA, will include three or four papers, each with a presenter and a discussant. ODE invites submissions from all fields of economics. This session will likely feature papers from a variety of fields unless a common theme arises from the submissions.
ODE invites submissions from all graduate students. Papers chosen for this session are eligible for submission to The American Economist and automatically entered into ODE's Irving Fisher Graduate Article Competition. Moreover, graduate students who are members of ODE are eligible for Benjamin M. Friedman Travel Awards. Each award reimburses documented-travel and lodging expenses up to $500. Membership in ODE must be confirmed by a letter from a Chapter Advisor.
