February 22, 2010. Deadline extended: The deadline for submission for the 2011 ASSA graduate student paper session, and the 2011 ASSA Chapter Advisor paper session has been extended to May 15, 2010. February 10, 2010. The American Economic Association (AEA) is celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2010. To commemorate this event, the AEA has published an 18-month calendar featuring great economists. The 18-month calendar highlights an economist each month with a picture, brief biography and quotes from the economist. The calendar also features birth dates for economists who are Nobel Laureates, past AEA presidents, AEA distinguished fellows, John Bates Clark Medalists, and other economists of note. The calendars are $15, but they will be on sale for $6 (domestic), $10 (international), and $2 each for orders over 100 beginning February 20th. Rachel is the winner of the 2009 Frank W. Taussig paper competition. Proposals for fall 2010 chapter grants are due by April 30, 2010.
